Named to "Angels" list

Each year, South Carolina's Secretary of State Mark Hammond releases a list of Angels and Scrooges, just in time for the holiday season. These lists of public charities are based on their stewardship of the dollars given to them. This is to help potential donors give wisely.

The Scrooge category lists charities that spend most of their income on maintaining their organization.

Caring and Sharing is proud to have made the Angels List for 2005, with an excellent record of putting 92.1% of its received gifts directly into doing the charity's work.

This means that you can contribute, knowing that your dollars will be used "to the max" for the purpose intended - to help those who are hurting in today's economy.

A Little About Us

In 1997, a small multi-ethnic group of inter-denominational Christains formed a non-profit tax-exempt organization in the Hemingway, SC area called Caring and Sharing. Their goal was to help those less fortunate than themselves. The first year they helped 13 families and have grown each year. In the year 2003, Caring and Sharing helped 1,850 families.

According to Carl Harmon, State Chairman for Caring and Sharing, the growth of the group has been phenomenal. The group now covers about a 30-mile radius of Hemingway, SC.

Caring and Sharing is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation and all gifts to it are tax deductable.

Caring & Sharing's goal is to cover the state of South Carolina and one day cover the entire United States. With your help and God leading us, all this is possible.
