Volunteers at work packing canned goods

  • The food pantry distributed over $300,000 in food last year, if the food is valued at retail value. Caring and Sharing is able to obtain this food for an average of 15% of its full value. Lately supplies have been scant, and the group has needed to purchase some food staples at the market.
  • Caring and Sharing takes applications for needy children who will be given a gift box of clothing and toys for Christmas.
  • Caring and Sharing sponsors a pileau dinner each year to raise funds.
  • Caring and Sharing visits the "Blessing of the Inlet each year at Murrells Inlet, SC. Stop and say hello.
Our Partners

  • YOU  - Our most important members are individuals who chose to donate to help us help others. Some donate financially; others donate time and energy as volunteers
  • FOOD LION - Our local Hemingway store has been very generous in providing food near expiration dates that is still perfectly usable, but otherwise would be thrown away, because it cannot be sold.
